TEST & VERIFY
Live Shock Test
Simulates VF/VT to verify that the AED correctly identifies a shockable rhythm and delivers a shock.
Non-Shock Test
Simulates normal sinus rhythm (NSR) to confirm the AED correctly identifies a non-shockable rhythm.
Shock Output Verification
Delivered shock energy is measured against manufacturer recommendations, with the output recorded in Joules.
Paediatric Shock Test
Where applicable, paediatric functionality and shock delivery are tested.
Battery Voltage Check
Battery voltage is tested under a real physical load and recorded as part of the service record.
INSPECT & MAINTAIN
Calibration
The AED is calibrated as part of our comprehensive servicing process.
Full Functionality Test
Device functions and operation are comprehensively checked.
Battery & Electrode Pad Inspection
Batteries and electrode pads are inspected for condition, compatibility and expiry.
Visual Inspection
The AED is checked for damage, deterioration or missing components that could affect its operation.
Software Updates & Fault Reset
Software updates are applied and fault codes reset where required and supported by the device.
DOCUMENT & SUPPORT
Individual Service Report
A detailed service report is provided for every AED serviced, giving your organisation an individual maintenance record for each device.
UKAS-Traceable Standards
Testing and reporting is completed using equipment traceable to UKAS standards.
Expiry Tracking & Reminders
We record pad and battery expiry dates and automatically remind you when replacements are approaching.
Replacement Ordering
Where consumables need replacing, we can manage the ordering for you. Replacement parts are quoted separately.
7-Day Support
Telephone and email support is available seven days a week, giving your organisation a point of contact if you have a question, fault or concern with one of your AEDs.

Defib Service is manufacturer-independent. Whether you operate one model throughout or manage a mixed estate from different manufacturers, we can service and test defibrillators across all major makes and models, with each device serviced within the scope supported by that model.
How Often Should a Defibrillator Be Serviced?
We recommend professional defibrillator servicing at least annually, alongside routine owner checks and the device’s own self-tests. The appropriate maintenance schedule can vary depending on the make and model, how the defibrillator is used and the manufacturer’s guidance.
An annual service provides a consistent opportunity to check the device, review pads and battery condition, complete functional testing and maintain a clear service record.

A SERVICE THAT DOESN'T END WHEN WE FIND A PROBLEM
If we identify a fault that requires further investigation or repair, we’ll explain the issue and help you manage what happens next.
If the defibrillator is covered by a manufacturer warranty, we can handle communications with the manufacturer or authorised repair provider and help coordinate repair or replacement where applicable.
If the device needs to leave site, we can also provide a temporary loan defibrillator to help maintain cover while your own unit is away.
