Servicing
Having your vaccine fridge(s) serviced annually complete with paperwork to support this is a CQC requirement.
Based on the NHS Green Book guidelines, CQC requirements, and Insurance compliance, Vaccine and Pharmacy Fridges designed to store vaccines and medication at controlled temperatures are required to undergo an annual full service and calibration to demonstrate proper maintenance.
You will also need a servicing plan in place to satisify your insurance claim should you ever have a cold chain incident, without one, your insurance company may refuse your claim.
Our engineers have received training from all major manufacturers. Be confident that we will provide ‘best in class’ service with our 20 point service check. Full detailed service reports sent out upon job completion.
You will be provided with a fully traceable certificate to national UKAS standards.
Can be completed on the same day as medical equipment calibration.
Every electrical or hydraulic medical couch will have a ‘Safe Working Load’ or SWL rating. This is the amount of weight your couch should be able to lift/lower safely. Improper use or poor maintenance of your couches could put your patients at high risk.
Here at MEDEQAL we offer an affordable annual couch service and SWL test in line with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). Issued by The HSE.
Can be completed on the same day as medical equipment calibration.
Defibrillators/AEDs are pieces of crucial life saving equipment, but are often overlooked or improperly maintained, which could not only put your staff/patients at risk but also expose you to potential liability.
A basic check and calibration is included if you have booked us for full calibration, but it is recommended to upgrade to our full ‘Rescue Ready Service’.
Can be completed on the same day as medical equipment calibration.
Waiting room blood pressure monitors can boost efficiency at your practice, giving patients the opportunity to test their own blood pressure. However, the sheer amount of use and sometimes improper use can lead to problems or failure of the machine.
Our annual service is carried out on site, and includes the complimentary fitting of a new cuff sleeve.
Can be completed on the same day as medical equipment calibration.
Testing
Here at MEDEQAL we can take care of all your PAT testing needs. We follow the latest HSE guidelines and comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
If you have your annual medical equipment calibration with us, we will include PAT testing for Class I electrical items that are required to be tested every year, completely free of charge!
Full PAT testing is required up to every 5 years in healthcare settings, this includes both Class I & Class II electrical items, basically, anything and everything which has a 3 pin plug will be tested.
We can offer a fixed price rate for the job or fixed price per item, which ever suits you best.
Utilise our early start times so we can keep distruption to an absolute minimum.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report, or EICR, is a document that is compiled by a qualified electrician to identify any faults or potential hazards with a building’s electrical system or fixed electrical appliances as a result of a periodic electrical inspection and testing.
It is an important document and a legal requirement for businesses in the UK as it can help identify any electrical issues that may need to be addressed with an electrical installation to ensure safety. The report should be updated every 5 years.
Carried out by our NICEIC certified electrician.
We can also provide emergency lighting testing and any electrical upgrades you wish to make to your surgery.
